show description:
Meant to Fade is a group exhibition featuring artworks that celebrate ephemerality, transformation, and the temporalities of non-toxic, natural, and living materials. The works push against long standing norms of artistic display and function, challenging the notion of creations outliving their creators. In a world finally coming to terms with the damaging environmental impacts of certain materials and methods, artists featured in Meant to Fade have embraced slowness, care, and a precarious materiality. Some of the works will be morphing and fading over the month-long exhibition period.
